Swachhata Hi Sewa – Pakhwada begins on Central Railway

Central Railway is observing Swachhata Hi Sewa Pakhwada from 15.9.2018 to 2.10.2018. Shri D.K. Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway administered the Swachhta Pledge to officers and staff at CR Headquarters, CSMT on 15.9.2018.

Shri DK Sharma, General Manager along with Principal Heads of Departments, senior officers and staff viewed Hon’ble Prime Minister’s video interaction on “Swachhta Hi Sewa” with other States, Cities which was shown live. The same interaction at different levels at Divisional Headquarters, important stations was also shown live.

As a part of this pakhwada, GM, officers and staff did Shramdhaan at the south façade of the heritage building. The focus was on visible cleanliness. Later, Shri Sharma inspected Divisional Railway Manager’s Office, Principal Chief Operations Manager’s office, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer’s Office, Principal Chief Signal & Telecommunications Engineer’s Office, etc. where in he counselled the staff to keep the surroundings neat and clean.

Besides, Divisional headquarters, Station Managers and Station Directors along with Railway Colony Staff, NGOs, Charitable Institutions, Passengers and Public at large conducted “Prabhat Pheri”, “Nukkad Natak” to create awareness about cleanliness and “Swachhta Hi Sewa”.

Mumbai Division team lead by DRM Mumbai Shri S K Jain launched a massive cleanliness drive and it’s Cultural Academy has organised attractive nukkad natak on cleanliness at Dombivali and spread awareness through a song.
