Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of IAS (Mains) Exam 2015 on 19 February 2016.

Union Public Service Commission, UPSC had released the results for UPSC Civil Services 2018 examination on April 5, 2019. A total of 759 candidates were recommended for the top jobs of the country. Meanwhile, Kanishak Kataria, an IIT Bombay graduate had topped the UPSC IAS examinations with a total of 55.35%. This is, incidentally, higher than last year’s topper scores. Kanishak scored overall 1121 marks in the civil services examination including 942 marks in written test and 179 marks in Interview. The written test comprises of 1750 marks. Candidates are marked out of 275 in the second round.  Akshat Jain achieved the second position in examination with 55.3% or 1080 marks including 882 marks in written test and 198 marks in personality test. Junaid Ahmad is the third ranker in the examination with 1077 marks or 53.18%.  Ahmad scored 893 marks in Main Exam and 184 marks in interview.

Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak achieved 759th rank in exam. Nayak scored 35.45 per cent or 718 marks including 600 in written and 118 marks in interview.  Bibhuti cleared the exam under the ‘multi disabilities’ category.

Total 759 candidates including 577 men and 182 women are recommended by UPSC for appointment to various services. The services include Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service,  Indian Police Service and more. The Preliminary exam for civil services 2018 was held on June 3, 2018. Total 10,65,552 candidates applied for the exam. 4,93,972 candidates actually appeared in the preliminary exam.

Total 10,468 candidates had qualified to appear in the main exam. The written exam was held in months of September, October 2018. Total 1,994 candidates appeared for the personality test which was held in February, 2019 and March, 2019.

Previous Year Toppers

Durishetty Anudeep was the first topper in 2017. Anudeep scored 55.60 % or 1,126 marks including 950 marks in the written test and 176 marks in the interview. Nandini K R was the exam topper in the year 2016 with 55.3 per cent or 1,120 marks. Nandini scored 927 marks in main exam and 193 marks in interview. In 2015, Tina Dabi was the first ranker with 52.49 per cent or 1,063 marks.
